I design and deliver tailored executive education programmes in the areas of leadership, inclusive leadership, and change. I coach individuals and teams and I am an experienced conference speaker. A key focus is researching and designing global inclusive leadership interventions which promote inclusion in both dominant and non-dominant cultures. I am a Visiting Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Adjunct Professor of Practice at Hult/Ashridge Executive Education and founder of Barbara Banda Consulting. My style is to partner with organisations to develop their people in ways which enable them to meet the ever-changing demands of their customers, markets, and stakeholders. I work with individuals and teams to heighten their self-awareness and support them in bringing about the changes to help achieve objectives. My strategy work focusses on supporting organisations to identify and realise pragmatic business strategies. My Oxford doctoral research explored the importance of connecting management education to the workplace, a philosophy that informs my approach when working with organisations. I bring real enthusiasm, sense of purpose and energy to my programme and workshop facilitation. I work in a way that is practical, interactive and sensitive to the clients’ needs. My experience is in working with large global organisations on complex and multi-million pound projects and clients have included DSM, Unilever and GSK. Interventions include Board and senior management facilitation, coaching and targeted workshops. I take a relational approach to my work with organisations drawing on a variety of approaches including Gestalt and the complexity sciences.
