Small things add up. My first client hired me for a project that other vendors called "too small." The challenge? A hospital system needed a better way to coordinate and track their efforts during citywide power outages - both triage (people trapped in elevators, flooding, generator failures, etc.) and giving the all clear on checked/resolved areas - as well as a better way to inform post-event response analysis. For other consultants, the contract value didn't seem big enough, but the ramifications of this system on facilities operations was huge. So huge, in fact, that, shortly after the finished project was presented to the board, the finance department reached out with their own "small" project. And my consulting career was born. Since then … I've built my expertise in projects that tend to be overlooked as "too small" - but actually move the needle. And these overlooked challenges are everywhere! * Strategic questions that don’t fit typical consulting categories. * Daily processes that are silently undermining your bigger vision. * Data strategies that produce lots of data, but very little in the way of information or decision-making support. * Clarity conversations that aren't being had because they seem too "fuzzy" or tangential to taking the action that seems so urgent. * Using the company brand as a marketing component instead of as a decision-making tool. * Problems that are too important to ignore, but too unique for generic frameworks. The problem is that these overlooked challenges accumulate until you're spending more time managing chaos than driving results. Teams feel scattered, processes work against each other, and strategic thinking gets crowded out by operational firefighting. Over the years, I've developed a systematic problem-solving approach - guided by computer science, cultural studies, business strategy, and my own experience with the applicability constraints of various frameworks - that I adapt to each situation. I work bottom-up to co-construct solutions with my clients that fit their specific challenges and their specific visions for what success means. My clients are competent decision-makers who need results: * from Fortune 500 department heads dealing with operational challenges, * to solopreneurs managing the daily fires that keep them from focusing on growth. They need someone who can see opportunities where others see complications. Think I could help you?
