Co-Founder Firefly HR: I am passionate about making positive change in the education & care profession and supporting other child related / linked organisations with a focus on social impact, with social justice providing the guiding framework for the change these organisations wish to see within the space. At Firefly HR, we support the education & care profession in the spaces of Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), Early Childhood Education (ECE), Family Day Care (FDC). We too align with the social enterprise space of giving back where we can by offering free advice, professional development, & more. We have, and always have, had specific social objectives as our primary focus. Inspired to educate, empower and lead others - but also to learn from them. We cannot ever be finished on our learning journey. Passion Driven Advocate for Positive Change in the OSHC Industry: In the realm of education, my journey revolves around a heartfelt commitment to creating positive ripples. OSHC, may not always be in the spotlight, but its impact on young lives is immeasurable. At Firefly HR, we've shaped a community by educators, for educators—a place where understanding, support, and action are our guiding principles. Director Pennant Hills BASC: Oversaw operations and lead a team of 30+ Educators at a large OSHC service that catered up to 350 different children. Achieved a rating of Exceeding the National Quality Standard in the NSW Department of Education Assessment & Rating process, which less than 20% of OSHC centres have achieved in NSW. Child Advocacy and a Vision for Positive Change: Personal experience is what drives me to want to improve on the lives of children and young people. Volunteer and Martial Arts Enthusiast: Outside my professional pursuits, I contribute as a Justice of the Peace and formerly volunteered on the Board of Directors for Network of Community Activities, the peak body for OSHC in NSW, in primary schools and in other ways to help the community. A passion for martial arts, a quest for the coveted black belt in Taekwondo (next grading - one day I'll be there), and a dedication to a positive lifestyle complement my love for helping others and spending time with our pug, Little Louis Litt. Above all, I cherish my role as a mother to our little girl, Hayley, and beautiful boy, Jye. Together, let's continue to create positive change and brighter tomorrows for the future generation.
