Ascent360

Promoted from a consulting position to Business Development. 
•	Scaled Ascent360 team from 2 to 12 in 1 year. 
•	Developed new scalable and repeatable top-of-funnel activity and lead generation process that increased SQLs from 0 to ~50 per quarter.
•	Worked directly with CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors to define new sales strategy.
•	Developed new segments, effectively closed deals, and trained others on sales process; reached 125% of individual yearly quota at Ascent360, and team hit 110% of the yearly quota.
•	Increased win rate of all deals from 10% to 25% at Ascent360.
•	Established and trained others on CRM process.
•	Left because of funding issues due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Sumo Group (Sumo.com / AppSumo.com)

Recruited as first sales hire to build and develop the sales organization for this $6M company. 
•	Scaled Sumo.com team from 1 to 12 in 2 years.
•	Built direct sales model at Sumo.com from the ground up, increasing team revenue by 5X, increased sales from <$1M to $6M within 2 years; exceeded quota by 15% in 2016 and 18% in 2017.
•	Opened new accounts and expanded existing book of business with $3M annual sales goal.
•	As a player-coach, hit 120% of individual yearly quota at Sumo.com.  
•	Set and tracked KPIs to improve sales team productivity and increase sales velocity. 
•	Worked directly with CEO Noah Kagen to strategize sales and marketing.

Growth 

•	Migrated entire team to Salesforce CRM --> increased call to close rate across team by 5% over the next quarter.
•	Completed 5 consecutive quarters as the top Account Executive (out of 10+ salespeople).
•	Managed a 200-account territory with special focus on 15 high-value enterprise accounts. 
•	Leveraged cold calling, email campaigns, and effective demos to senior managers and C-level executives; drove $2M net new revenue from outbound sales.

•	Built financial model for sales org to show CEO road to profitability --> was hired to prove it. 
•	Handled full cycle of all sales deals (inbound/outbound).
•	Closed over $1M ARR with less than 3% churn and was given green light to scale up team.

Educational technology company focused on Rapid Workforce Training.
•	Raised $1.2M Seed Round investment from accredited angel investors.
•	Led all technical sales efforts including building customized demos, walking through objections, and closing.
•	Closed biggest clients to date: University of Texas, Austin Public School District, and Austin Community College.
•	Selected as one of 16 leading Education companies from around the world to compete in 1776 Challenge Cup.
•	Selected as top 5 startups from Capital Factory Demo day by Venture Beat; took lead role for presentation.

National Instruments

As the environmental affairs intern I assisted the Program Manager in making National Instruments a more environmentally friendly company.  I got to work with many great individual on cross-functional teams and learned how to work in a corporate setting.  Some of my responsibilities and accomplishments included:

•	Helped orchestrate several “earth week” events including a local business fair, recycling awareness campaign, and a keynote speaker.  This required me to warm call a list of companies and sell them on coming to National Instruments.  I was able to attain a 40% conversion rate.

•	Completed a research project that outlined 30 of NI’s top suppliers, their requests and requirements with regards to EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition), and if NI met those requirements.  This project required me to search through company webs sites as well as searching a non-user-friendly database of customer requests (Jira).  It also required coordination with several of the members of the Supply Chain team.

•	Redesigned the wiki page for Facilities team.  This required me to research and master new formatting tags, and cater the wiki to the needs of the facilities team.

•	In charge of a weekly environmental affairs blog.  Rolled out an email campaign to enlist 10 different writers, and personally wrote 8 blog posts.

Environmental Affairs Intern

West Campus Green Initiative

This is an initiative that I started alongside my twin brother to provide every student resident of the University of Texas the ability to recycle.  After receiving a $1000 grant we went on to build a foundation to increase the efficiency and accessibility of recycling/compost services available to students living off Campus.

We partnered with the City of Austin Resource Recovery and UT Austin’s Sustainability Officer, as well as local green businesses to fabricate a scorecard system rating properties on services, energy appliances, and water use. 

Also launched and coordinated a “Green Greek” movement, to set up a platform that allowed Frats and Sororities to easily recycle post-party waste.  We were able to have 25% participation within the Greek system and made the initiative an action item for Student Government.

I believe that every professional should serve some time in a customer facing position.  For me, this included a college career of valeting to help pay for my tuition and expenses.   Within the first year, I was promoted to manager of our highest profile account in Austin, Uchiko.  While leading a team of 6+ employees, I learned many skills on the job, including: how to deal with a bottleneck, leading a team, and how to enhance the experience of high profile customers.  My duties included:

•	Promptly deliver over 200 cars a night to customers
•	Assist in training of 10 new employees
•	Maintain professional attitude under high stress conditions
