Project Manager

DINAIN S.L., Naval and Industrial Design

Naval Architect in general design department in Australian LHD program with the following functions:
•	Naval architecture specialized calculations like ship stability, seakeeping, propulsion and manoeuvrability. 
•	Inclining experiment procedure according with IMO, IACS & DEF(AUST) regulations and weights and sounding inspector for the inclining experiment of the two LHD ships constructed for Australian Navy.
•	Technical support in SOLAS exception/exemption process for Lloyd's Register and Naval Flag Authority.
•	Mechanical engineering calculations such as dimensioning of refrigeration spaces and heat transfer.
•	Verification of contract requirements by commenting and inspection of project documentation. Development of technical analysis to demonstrate the compliance with the contract requirements by using calculations, simulations and computer programming.

Naval Architect

Requirements Engineer Manager of the Australian LHD ships program with the following functions:
• Post contract elicitation of requirements using survey techniques, system archaeology and workshops between stakeholders.
• Natural language documentation of requirements attending quality criteria such as clear structure, unambiguity, consistency and traceability.
• Validation of requirements after assuring that the quality aspects of content, documentation and agreement between stakeholders are fulfilled and focused in the promoting of traceability and verifiability.
• Selection of adequate documentation for the validation purposes. Management of repeated validations. Validation using commenting validation technique among others like inspection, perspective based reading or prototypes, including documentation of the results.
• Requirements negotiation identifying and making analysis of the conflicts, in terms of interest conflicts or subject conflicts, and resolution by agreement or consider-all-facts (CAF) techniques.
• Requirements management by implementation of attributes and creation of views in order to keep the complexity of requirements manageable for the stakeholders and support the sub-activities of each role. Design of condensed views on the requirements and statistics, by means of programming, attending the interest of the report where it will be used. Priorization of requirements attending cost/duration of implementation, risk or importance criteria. Traceability of requirements to assist in verifiability, impact analysis and coordination between activities.
• Use of IBM DOORS® requirement management software to manage users and accesses to database, design and implementation of modules, traceability, design and programming of views and integration with other software.
• Support to management of requirements changes by justification of the change, priorizing change requests and documentation of the new requirement text maintaining the quality criteria.

Requirements Engineer

VICUS DESARROLLOS TECNOLOGICOS S.L

• Development of a ship electric load simulator for the GPEC (Green Port Energy Center) project using Visual Basic as programming language. Analysis of the ship thermal and electrical loads in port and Monte Carlo simulation of the global port loads. Statistical analysis of electrical loads onboard measurements including mathematical modelling and simulation.
• Re-engining study for a trawler ship. Evaluation of engine room arrangement and requirements to provide several engine alternatives.
•  Collaboration in A-TEMPO proyect to design an offshore support vessel for the integrated installation and mantainment of an offshore windfarm.

NAVANTIA S.A.

Realization of the following work in the Australian LHD ships constructed in Navantia shipyard:
Damaged ship stability calculation including interconnection trunks behavior and limiting KG curves.
Naval architecture calculations like hydrostatics, KN curves, V-lines, freeboard, MARPOL oil outflow calculation, fixed ballast estimation, evaluation and verification of compliance with LSAE and ESC Lloyd's register class notation.
Other works such inspection of passive fire protection, block cutting and watertight doors drawings,
preliminary concept study of LHD transport by Heavy Lift Vessel, IP assignment to equipments, design accelerations, etc...
Collaboration in the inclining experiment of the BPE "Juan Carlos I" and frigate "Thor Heyerdahl" in weight inspection and pendulum deflection measurements.

TECNOR S.L.

Ship stability calculation of container ship, ferries and fishing vessels using the Scantec and Bureau Veritas Argos software. Lightweight check of 200 TEU containership. Scantling calculations of containership midship section using Bureau Veritas MARS 2000 software. Development of several naval architecture drawings and Stockholm Agreement preliminary study for 1000 pax ferries.

Head of Conceptual & Basic Design and Associate Professor on Ship Design at University of A Coruña.
