- Overseeing the organisation’s relations with governmental authorities.

Legal Role:
- Draft and review all types of contracts (i.e. supply, services, lease, consultancy, collective labor agreements….etc)
- Control and manage corporate governance issues (i.e. Shareholder Structure, Board Membership, Commercial Registers… etc).
- Prepare Boards, Ordinary and Extra Ordinary General Assembly meetings, agenda, explanation memos.
- Act as the Company’ Secretary for the Board and GA.
- Follow up and supervise licenses’ issuance.
- Act as Legal advisor for the Pricing Committee.
- Act as Secretary to Board of Trustees.
- Maintain and follow up the Legal Controls with the Internal Control Department in alignment with group policies
- Provide legal advises upon request. 
- Follow up Litigation and dispute resolutions with external counsels.
- Review local policies.
Compliance Role:
- Act as Country Compliance Delegate representing the Group Compliance in Egypt and Case Manager for Integrity Line Cases.
- Roll out and follow up all Group Compliance projects in Egypt (i.e. code of business conduct launch, integrity line launch, third party due diligence launch, ….etc)
- Handle unfair competition /anti-trust issues.
- Act as Legal Advisor for Commercial monthly meetings.
- Review and verify all communications with competition content.
- Act as contact with the Egyptian Competition Authority.
- Control and manage e-learning and Legal Learning Management System. 
- Prepare the training materials for the Face to Face compliance awareness sessions and workshops.
- Plan and conduct Code of Business Conduct, Anti-Bribery and Anti Corruption (ABC) and Fair Competition awareness sessions and workshops.
- Responsible for the application of Third Party Due Diligence, to ensure third parties’ compliance with Group ABC standards.
- Act as Country Compliance Reviewer and approver for Third Party Due Diligence Cases.
- Review Group polices and ensure their application on the Local level to the extent permitted by the Egyptian Laws.

Lawyer and Country Compliance Delegate

Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing all Contracts.
- Keeping all original Contracts duly archived to be easily accessed. 
- Controlling all the corporate issues (i.e. Shareholder Structure, Board Membership, Commercial Registers… etc) with GAFI and other Governmental Authorities.
- Preparing all Board Meetings, preparing the Agenda and explanation memos, preparing the Board files, acting as the Boards’ Secretary and drafting the minutes. 
- Preparing all Ordinary and Extra Ordinary General Assembly Meetings, preparing invitations and explanation memos, preparing the GA files and drafting the minutes.
- Preparing and updating Litigation reports and legal provisions.
- Updating Blueprint (Database) in compliance with Lafarge Group instructions.
- Maintaining, updating and following up the Legal Controls with the Internal Control Department in alignment with rules and policies
- Preparing the Legal Department’s budget.
- Controlling Legal Department’s Capex and Opex on the oracle system.
- Conducting training sessions regarding the Code of Business Conduct.
- Assisting in the training sessions conducted regarding the Egyptian Competition Law
