Seasoned professional with a non-linear career trajectory, including two stints out of the paid work force for full time parenting and caregiving. Experience across multiple sectors, including tech, nonprofit, education, and legal. For most of my career, every time I took on a role, it was the first time I wore that specific hat - Technical Writer, Victim Advocate, Mom, Volunteer Director, Entrepreneur, Career Coach, Employer Partnerships, Director of Career Services. I have a proven track record of being adept at starting with a learning mindset, quickly becoming a subject matter expert, and then teaching topics with empathy for the novice perspective. In addition, I have a deep history of tenacity and resilience - I graduated from Carnegie Mellon in seven years because I paid for tuition on my own while working many jobs, including food service, child care, Hunt Library, and two years of serving in AmeriCorps in an afterschool program for inner city students. Currently based in Boulder, CO. I've also lived in Athens, Greece, where I created a service learning project for teenagers at the Athens Zoo. I love to travel all over Greece and volunteer with my family, supporting refugee families through art. I am passionate about working with people to frame challenges as obstacles that can be overcome with determination and communication. I hear from clients that I bring a unique and non-judgmental perspective to problem-solving. In addition to being a strong advocate for people, I also have a deep curiosity for products and processes. As I learn new tools, I quickly become a product champion.
