As a PhD holder with extensive experience in biomedical research and project management, I currently operate in the role of Project Manager at StromaBio, a pioneering biotech company focused on developing advanced cell therapies for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and other critical conditions. My career journey has been defined by a passion for translating scientific discoveries into real-world solutions, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Previously, I collaborated with Karolinska Institutet, where I focused on fetal mesenchymal stem cells for rare bone disease treatments, summarizing findings from my postdoctoral studies. My transition to the biotech sector allowed me to leverage my skills in communication, coordination, and problem-solving to manage complex projects and foster cross-functional collaborations. Earlier in my career, I honed my expertise at the Ankara University Cord Blood Bank, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in cell biology, regenerative medicine, and the fundamentals of biobanking. This role provided me with deep insights into stem cell science and therapeutic applications, while also refining my ability to lead collaborative, cross-disciplinary research efforts on an international scale. At StromaBio, I work on initiatives to advance cell therapy research, engage with regulatory bodies, and support strategic growth. Additionally, I maintain strong ties with academic institutions, which enables me to stay at the forefront of emerging scientific trends and applications. My role also includes enhancing the visibility of the company's projects, facilitating effective communication between our team and external partners, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
