Nikunj is a public policy and education professional currently pursuing an MA in Education and International Development at UCL’s Institute of Education. His work lies at the intersection of education reform, environmental sustainability, and public sector strategy, with a strong commitment to advancing equitable systems, especially in the Global South. He previously worked with NITI Aayog (Government of India) as an Education Policy Intern, where he contributed to national-level research on school systems and governance reforms. Prior to that, he served in legislative roles at the Michigan House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, focusing on outreach, memos, and research on environmental and social issues. Nikunj holds dual BSc degrees in Environmental Economics and Agribusiness Management from Michigan State University, where he also served as President of the International Student Association, Chair of the University Committee on Student Affairs, and a Resident Assistant. Recognized with awards such as the Emerging Leader Honorable Mention and CANR Junior Scholarship, Nikunj brings a unique blend of academic excellence, field experience, and student leadership.
