I've spent 15 years in the arts as a musician, bandleader, teacher and composer, but am excited to have found a new outlet for creativity, collaboration and problem solving in coding. I am highly engaged when developing a skill set, and strive to develop my skills to a very high standard. I am currently studying a Bachelor of IT at RMIT, where I have an average mark of 90.09% (95.3% for coding units, including advanced electives in C#, Java, Web Development and Cloud Computing), and am now looking for work as a junior software developer. I am looking to find a team that I can grow with, and one that encourages the use of modern technologies and coding practices. I'm keen to learn programming languages and new technologies as required, and have confidence in my ability to learn deeply and quickly. In my previous career pursuits I've enjoyed working on a wide range of projects. As a teacher I've helped students with their many goals; to get into their tertiary studies at elite music instutitions, to record their own albums and navigate the recording process (everything from composing the music, to booking musicians, to preparing budgets, marketing and release schedules). As a composer I've composed for international video game projects, and released multiple albums under my own name. Five self of my compositions have been nominated for the WAM Song of the Year award (2011, 2015, 2016 and two in 2018). As a pianist, I'd made a living as a full time performer, and recorded piano parts for Crunchy Roll original anime series' and various game soundtracks, and was nominated for Best Keys/Synth Artist at the 2019 Western Australian Music Awards. As a bandleader I've employed dozens of musicians, marketed and coordinated various album releases, and successfully ran two crowdfunding campaigns of ~$6,500 and ~$7,500 for to fund original music projects.
