A few years ago I quit my corporate job after feeling under appreciated. I spent the following months going back to my roots in construction and earning money to keep things ticking over while I wrote a PhD proposal. I was unsuccessful in my scholarship application and needed to find a way to raise some funds for my research. That's when I had the idea for Open Research Shop, and using tokenisation to help researchers around the world to raise funds for their research. Fast forward to today and we have secured several grants, been accepted on to a local start up incubator, opened our first office and started working with HEIs to help them fund research.
