I am a results-driven cybersecurity professional with a proven track record of over 20 years experience working with global teams in strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational roles. Most recently, I have been responsible for creating cybersecurity programs as the first security hire for an early-stage biotech and a blockchain-powered REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) startup, identifying and understanding business risk and tolerance, and applying processes and controls accordingly. Prior to that I managed global teams at Pluralsight focused on scaling product security practices across over 50 teams worldwide. I started my cybersecurity career at Bain Capital after a former career of software engineering and architecture. While there I ran Bain Capital's application security, cloud security, and identity and access management programs, creating defense-in-depth strategies that helped protect the company and its high-profile employees from ongoing cybersecurity threats. I have broad experience across both team management and cybersecurity practices, including but not limited to talent acquisition and retention, conflict resolution, security awareness, network security, endpoint security, incident response, and 3rd party risk. I'm passionate about Zero Trust (modern identity and access management) and DevSecOps (building security into application and cloud architecture).
