•Implemented targeted promotion strategy for Australian Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), resulted in 0.35% reduction in monthly churn while increasing ARPU by 1.9%, in less than 3 months
•Evaluated the impact of Pricing model change for a major car parts wholesale distributor with >$60M annual revenue, saving the company $50K in ERP implementation fees and 6 months of business disruptions
•Proposed new pricing and discounting structure for PE portfolio enterprise SaaS that would increase revenue by 185% when implemented

•Spearheaded the implementation of advanced data infrastructure (Dbt, Google Cloud Composer) and visualisation platforms (Google Data Studio), enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities across the organisation
•Partnered with product managers, designers, and the customer success team to implement product analytics tools (Segment CDP, Amplitude) to identify customer onboarding dropoff points, and introduced key metrics and dashboards to assess the success of different customer onboarding flow experiments

•Led cross-functional task force with Product, Engineering, Sales teams to reduce monthly data update process via continuous improvements in processes and automation, resulting in 60% reduction of processing time

Winner of FinTech Australia Awards 2019 in the category of "Best Use of AI in FinTech"
Major projects include:
• "MeL" - a Machine Learning algorithm for automated approval. MeL learns from prior human decisions for those 'hard to decide' applications that could not be handled by traditional score cards. MeL is built on the popular xgboost library and is deployed in serverless architecture, utilising Amazon Lambda service. MeL has ROC > 0.95. 
• Cassandra - alerts our sales team before a vendor leaves Brighte so they can take actions to prevent churn. The time period is specific to each vendor so our sales reps are not inundated with alerts or miss important warning signs. Cassandra uses exponential distribution as the basis for survival model. The algorithm is developed in house in Python. Compared to hold out sample, Cassandra achieves ~50% increase in 30 day reactivation and ~110% increase in applications submitted in 30 days.
Collaborated closely with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial industry standards, emphasising risk management and data security

•Overseeing ~30 employees across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Data.
•Successfully implemented squads, chapters and guilds utilising the Spotify agile methodology
•Implemented dedicated L2/L3 support framework

Acting Chief Technology Officer

ROKT

Rokt is an advertising technology startup. In 2017 it received Series B funding of $26M USD backed by Moelis Australia Ltd, John Ho, Lachlan Murdoch, Greg Roebuck, SquarePeg Capital.
The Optimisation team is tasked to maximum advertising revenue on Rokt platform through machine learning algorithm and auction system.

Roles & Responsibilities
•Lead a team of 5 data scientists and software engineers across Sydney and New York
•Reported to Chief Product and Engineering Officer
•Designed Tableau dashboards for key business performance metrics
•Designed machine learning algorithms to predict probability of user clicking on a digital advertisement, using demographic and customer behaviour data from internal and external sources
•Created strategic roadmap for program of work in machine learning and optimization
•Liaise with Product team, Operations team and other engineering teams to design product and UX experiments

Accomplishments
•Directed a cross-continental team of 6 data scientists and BI analysts in Sydney and New York, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
•Pioneered advanced ML algorithms for user engagement prediction and recommendation systems in digital ads, leading to a ~40% revenue uplift by optimizing click probability models, CPC rates, and ad placement
•Launched the "Prime" product in just six weeks, collaborating closely with the product and engineering teams. The product won the internal award for best product launch of the year. The product contributed up to 30% of the company’s revenue
•Actively collaborated with marketing and sales teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable business strategies, contributing to enhanced customer targeting and improved ROI on marketing spend

muru-D is a startup accelerator fully funded by Telstra. muru-D helps entrepreneurs learn how to run and manage a digital business and aims to accelerate the transformation of Australia into digital economy.

Help startups connect with mentors, sponsors, potential customers and investors.
•Connect startups with all Corporate sponsors, including Telstra
•Organise masterclasses, office hours, mentor workshops, startup community events
•Track portfolio performance of all 44 muru-D startups
•Produced SYD3 Demo day - 2 evenings where startups present their businesses in front of 300 live audience, livestreamed across the internet and filmed as part of TV documentary, followed by tradeshow demos and cocktail party
•Featured in "The Dream Academy", a six part TV documentary on Channel 7 about the journeys of early stage Australian startups

Head of Corporate Engagement (Secondment from Telstra)

Help muru-D startups explore potential business models, and advise pricing strategy. Topics include:

•Created financial model for Telstra Air, a $100M investment for nationwide Wi-Fi network, targeting 2M hotspots by 2017
•Initiated multi-year project to create a customer-centric profitability data mart to understand usage, revenue and profitability. Analysis techniques used include: Driver tree decomposition, Multivariate regression, cohort anlaysis, driver based forecasting
•Conducted monthly knowledge sharing sessions covering topics including: conjoint analysis, customer research, discounting, regression analyses, waterfall charts, Pyramid principle for presentations and communications

•Reviewed pricing strategy for a software and outsourcing service provider post acquisition of a smaller competitor. Proposed new product bundles across 8 product lines by utilizing advanced statistical models (factor analysis) and monte carlo simulations. Created new pricing structure and discounting policy. Anticipated additional ~$60M in revenue
•Reviewed performance and built financial forecast model for a Canadian technology start up with annual revenue of $90M as part of due diligence process. Led to ~$300M acquisition for Japanese e-commerce conglomerate
