As a counselor-in-training pursuing my Master's in Counseling Psychology, I bring two decades of cross-cultural experience to my therapeutic work. My diverse background—spanning multiple countries, cultures, and professional sectors—uniquely positions me to support clients with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a holistic understanding of human experiences. Drawing from my work with community leaders in Myanmar, grassroots organizations in El Salvador, and diverse communities in Chicago, I've developed a deep appreciation for how cultural context, systemic influences, and personal narratives shape our journeys. My experience implementing programs, managing volunteers, and driving organizational growth has honed my ability to connect meaningfully with people while honoring their unique stories and perspectives. Previously, I led teams implementing marketing and branding campaigns, building custom web solutions in the lean-startup scene, and managed thousands of volunteers both locally and internationally. Throughout these roles, I maintained a focus on creating positive impact, solving complex problems innovatively, and prioritizing human experiences. My global perspective has been shaped by living in Myanmar, Thailand, South Korea, El Salvador, Costa Rica, London, and Sweden, visiting more than 30 countries total. While my heart is in Chicago, where I'm commonly found biking with my two young kids seeking adventures in nature, my worldview continues to inform my approach to supporting others in their growth and healing journeys.
