The major is based on the functional areas of business such as finance, operations, marketing and enhanced with statistical and decision science techniques. Students with this major are equipped for careers in any of the functional area of business that requires business data analysis.

Launched in 2013 with over 75 undergraduate students, our students learn Information Systems, Data Analysis, Forecasting, Dashboarding, R-Programming, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, Data Mining, and overall Business Analytics curriculum in a robust, hands-on environment with real-world data sets and industry guests who judge a series of student presentations in every course.  In Fall of 2021, we added to our portfolio by launching specialization tracks in Business Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Students are tasked with analyzing real-world data from businesses across the globe.  My philosophy is to teach each student the skills needed to help businesses grow through big data, IoT, and artificial intelligence, combining street smarts with book smarts and a social conscience.
