Performance Management: Responsible for driving team to achieve all key performance objectives.  Responsible for financial, budget, and sales reporting. Maintains knowledge of company and market promotional elements.  Develop, assign and monitor sales goals and provide ongoing training to keep employees informed of new products, services and procedures. Attend customer meetings with team and train on effective selling strategies by demonstrating sales techniques. Develop strategies for acquiring new business, perform territory analysis and planning.  

Reporting and Analysis: Includes generating and analyzing sales, forecast and funnel-management reporting. Evaluate and provide input in the development of training and competitive information, as well as Verizon Wireless’s strategic and tactical plans for the Business channel.  Analyze sales reports and provide recommendations for increased sales productivity and operational efficiencies during strategic / tactical planning sessions.
 
Market and Industry Knowledge: Train sales team on new products, services and selling skills to ensure team is fully versed in Verizon Wireless products and services and ready to represent Verizon Wireless in the highest professional manner. Participate in networking activities and perform research to generate lead development. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote Verizon Wireless and increase presence in the community by developing relationships through chambers of commerce.

Staffing / Employee Relations: Prospect for new talent. Develop, train and coach sales team to produce desired high performance results.  Make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions.  Assess individuals and team performance and initiate developmental plans to narrow competency gaps.  

Customer Retention: Ensure that customers and prospective customers are treated with the highest levels of courtesy and professionalism.

Business Sales Manager

Sales Results: Meet and exceed monthly sales quota objectives by acquiring and retaining corporate and employee liable accounts. Call on top levels of organizations to sell products and services to gain new business and further penetrate existing accounts. Generate new business in assigned territories through prospecting, cold-calling, networking and generating leads and referrals. Negotiate pricing and contracts.

Customer Retention: Provide existing customers with the highest standard of customer service. Coordinate with support center to fulfill, activate and service accounts.  Promote Verizon Wireless as the market leader in the wireless industry. Resolves customer issues in a timely and empathetic manner. Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn.

Training / Meetings: Continuously update knowledge of wireless products, services, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote Verizon Wireless and increase presence in the community by developing relationships through chambers of commerce.

Reporting: Fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management and prospecting tools. Manage sales funnel, generate reporting on sales activities and forecasting.

Major Accounts Manager

Sales Results: Meet and exceed monthly sales quota objectives by acquiring and retaining the accounts of small to mid-sized businesses. Generate new business in assigned territories through prospecting, cold calling networking and generating leads and referrals. Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate the value of Verizon Wireless products and services. Recommend wireless solutions with regard to price plans, data and other enhanced services, handsets and accessories. Negotiate and close deals.

Customer Retention: Provide follow-up training for new customers, handle equipment issues, perform rate plan analysis, explain billing and interact with Support Center on customer service issues. Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn.

Ordering Processing and Reporting: Fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management and prospecting tools. Responsible for completing contracts and report-generation including tracking and forecasting reports.

Training / Meetings:  Continuously update knowledge of wireless products, services, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote Verizon Wireless and increase presence in the community by developing relationships through chambers of commerce.
