I'm a sales and marketing consultant for ed tech start-ups, with over 2 years of recent experience in this role, extensive related leadership experience in educational publishing companies, and an MBA from Cornell University. I work with the executive teams of emerging and innovative ed tech companies to design and implement effective go-to-market and sales growth strategies, based on my deep understanding of the higher education market and customer needs. Most recently, that included working with Catalyst Education to help launch its field/hybrid sales specialist organization; including hiring, training, coaching, territory creation, sales planning, incentive and playbook development, Salesforce idealization, and rolling up my sleeves prospecting and developing new customers. And, similarly, working with Packback this fall 2023 on a trial testing a new sales structure. Before becoming a consultant, I was a senior director of sales at zyBooks and John Wiley & Sons. Over my five year tenure there, I played a central role in achieving quadruple revenue growth. I led a talented team of sales managers, account executives, and sales engineers to acquire new customers in the computer science and engineering higher ed segment with a new immersive digital interactive textbook and lab replacement product. I have a passion for selling disruptor and transcendent ed tech products that reliably improve student learning outcomes and engagement. I also have a proven track record of building lasting customer relationships, delivering high customer satisfaction and service, and managing small hybrid sales teams.
