• Lead a 38-person commercial notebook product planning, product management and product marketing team across US and Asia.  

• Increased units by 8%, margin by 5% and revenue by 18%.

• Launched 30 new products in more than 70 countries and locked down roadmaps and product plans for 2020 ,2021 and 2022 including specialized healthcare and education products.

• Led and implemented data analytics initiative to obtain telemetry from products to improve quality, proactively service components, understand features, improve applications and generate ongoing revenue from lifetime value. 

• Manage portfolio and profit and loss (P&L) of more than 40 platforms generating more than $10B in revenue.

Vice President, Head of Commercial Notebook Product Management

• Led 18-person global technology software, firmware, electrical engineering, product management, UX and compliance team to define, develop and manage products and roadmaps for tablets, wireless IoT shelf management systems and lighting products.

• Developed and launched new line of retail tablets called EDGE for use as e-catalogs and experience sampling for Walmart, Autozone, O'Reilly's and other major retailers.

• Defined and implemented IoT retail smart shelf management products for inventory management and theft deterrence for trials with four major retailers and obtained two nationwide contracts.

• Technology consultant providing product management, product strategy and business strategy and development services.
• Projects included NFC wearable technology for startup at the University of Illinois and smart watch product development for European jewelry company.

• Created the first tablet business unit for Dell and managed the P&L.

• Developed and launched 6 Windows and 4 Android tablets in 50 countries through Dell direct sales, online, retail and commercial business to business (B2B) channels.

• Won Consumer Electronics Show 2015 Innovation Award for Dell Venue 8 tablet.

• Launched new business and product category at Dell for smartphones and accessories.

• Delivered 8 smartphones across 40 countries via carrier, retail, e-commerce, distributor and Dell’s direct sales force.

• Delivered over $800M in sales during 2011, 20% above plan.

• Won Consumer Electronic Show 2011 Innovation Award for Dell Streak smartphone.

Motorola

• Led product development, strategy, planning, and execution for Linux/Java smartphone software and operating system (MOTOMAGX) with teams across 7 sites in 5 countries.

• Delivered 9 products to over 50 customers worldwide on time, within budget, more than 25 million units shipped.

• First to implement Agile/SCRUM at Motorola for software development.

• Improved software quality by 30% and team efficiency by 25% through use of SCRUM methodologies and automated testing.
