My journey wasn't always destined for the world of law firm consulting. In college, numbers were my passion. I envisioned a career as a CPA, diligently studying and even passing the rigorous exam. But life has a way of surprising you. While attending school at night, I worked full-time as a law firm's head of accounting and legal administrator. This wasn't a part-time gig but a deep dive into the heart of law firm operations. I found myself drawn to the dynamic environment, strategic challenges, and human element of the legal profession. It was a fortunate discovery, a realization that my path was shifting. Though the CPA credential was a testament to my financial acumen, I knew my heart wasn't in traditional accounting. I placed my license on inactive status and ventured into private industry, scaling and managing within a large organization. The experience was invaluable, a masterclass in operational efficiency and strategic growth. I learned lessons about leadership, process optimization, and the intricacies of large-scale operations. I was good at it, successful even, but something was missing. The spark wasn't there. The pull of the legal world was undeniable. I combined my financial expertise, corporate experience, and law firm insights to create something unique. I could help law firms thrive, not just survive. And so, PerformLaw was born.
