Responsible for enforcing on-street parking By-Laws and programs that promote safety, the free flow of traffic, access to and availability of parking for both the public and local businesses. Responsibilities include parking tickets at meters, within residential and commercial areas; issuing municipal code
tickets (such as lawn sprinkling, noise abatement and anti-idling); responding to parking complaints from the public, ensuring parking compliance in school, bus and other related parking zones, assisting in the identification and removal of abandoned or illegally parked vehicles, as well as arranging towing and impounding of vehicles for parking violations.
