I look forward to waking up every day and asking myself “How can I add value to my company, colleagues, customers, connections, and friends?” Never afraid to challenge myself and grow, I dive into new projects confident that I can leverage experience and existing knowledge while quickly learning the unique variables of any given situation. Indelible Life Moments | Lessons: • Lessons from my father: treat everyone with respect, be courteous, be kind, be patient, be empathic, be humorous, be conversational, pay attention. • Lessons from my mother: how to take care of myself (cooking, laundry, organization, etc.), how to be a gracious host and open your home to others. • From a friend’s dad: when facing a large/daunting task as teenager, he taught me to break it into smaller pieces and celebrate the small successes. • Week 2 as a Customer Service Agent, a customer scolded me “how can you tell me what is going on when you don’t even know what your company does?” My mission forward at every company was to get a working & conceptional knowledge of the job, product, processes, and people. • 8-week Manager Training Course (age of 21). • From a manager: You are only responsible for your own emotions and cannot control those of others. • 12-week Time Management Course (age of 31). • 12-week Leadership Development Program Reasons I’m Grateful / Personal Stuff: • Raised by loving parents who were married for just shy of 50 years (my father died 3 months shy of this milestone). • The love and support of my 3 older siblings. Yes, I’m the youngest and was Spoiled! • The love of my wife of 22 years and counting (we married in 1999 and yes, we partied as such) • The blessing of a son, whose birth was a lesson in faith after an arduous path to have him. • The blessing of amazing friends who provide us with a rich and nourishing social life. • I’ve been in the kitchen since I was 4 years old, started entertaining for my friends by age 10, and now regularly hold Dinner Parties for upwards of 12 people. • Cooking led to my journey into Wine, Spirits and Cocktails. I have an extensive Wine Cellar and Spirit Collection along with A Lot of Glassware. • I am an Adirondack 46er (#3197) like my father and brother. • I had a brief period as a teenage musician: piano, string bass in school orchestra and jazz bands • I’m passionate lover of lots of music, especially Jazz. I also have been afforded great access to live music my whole life. My first rock concert was the original line-up of Chicago (i.e., Terry Kath) when I was 9 (Yeah, my dad was cool!).
