my wife picked me up some bananas for my protein shakes. 
They were the greenest bananas you've ever seen. 
I asked my wife if she drove to Brazil to pick them up. 

She wasn't happy with that line... but I found it hilarious. 

Turns out she dug through three crates at the grocery store to try and find me ripe bananas. 

Someone even asked her if she worked there. 

Some times people try their best and still fail, and you don't really know what they went through to even do that for you. 

I asked her if she tried any other stores.  She didn't like that question either. 

Some people might get a little defensive when their "best effort" maybe really wasn't the best effort. 

I said it's ok, I can just run down to the gas station, they always have some ripe bananas, but they do rip you off on the price per banana.   

She hates wasting money. I knew that one would really annoy her.  

"fine I'll go to another store". 

I went back to work... working with my team in much the same way  😆 

20 mins later she came home with ripe bananas... 
I told her I love it when she gets stuff done. 

Man she hates that line too.  😂 

Ya get the point of the story though right?  

I mean she really could have come home with the ripe bananas the first time. Even if the first place didn't have them. She just didn't want to go to another store, much like most sales people don't want to make more calls.

But they were somewhere to be found right?  

Before you miss your numbers on another quarter and make excuses why.  

Did you really do your best to bring home the bananas.  

ps. We hit the quarter yesterday on goal and have an extra 20% waiting for signatures. Whether it comes today or next quarter doesn't really matter. 

We got the ripe bananas.  😉

Im not sure who needs to hear this. But this is the most important information you will likely ever hear.   I bought my daughter a silent mouse yesterday.  

BEST DECISION EVER.   She was driving me insane with mouse clicks. 

I mean I love having her near me all the time after school or this week off school 24x7 off school but the constant mouse clicking was nuts.  Logitech m220.  It cost $12.  I would pay $1000 for it if it broke.

Weekend project... some custom 3D models for new location.  I already had the assets built for the 3D tour I made last year.  Easy enough to whip up some custom room models based on client pictures of their rooms.  

"If I use lubricant, would I apply it between the plastic part and the neck of the unit?"   I'm thinking... Yes! Always put the lubricant between the plastic part and the neck of your unit.  So Ya wanna be in the start up game folks? These are the conversations you will find yourself in, when working in loosely defined, jack of all trade, rolls.  😉
