Having run a software company for many years, I was the "buck stops here" guy for just about everything, so Falling Cats Consulting aims to make that expertise available to startups, especially when they are facing the inevitable challenges.

I presented the Proto sessions to USYD Graduates over three months. It's been great fun and it's always invigorating to work with motivated young people.  Proto is a lead-in to the Incubate startup program where I am a mentor.

BIS created the corporate expense management system iCMS in the late 90's for our pioneer corporate clients. It filled a growing gap in the market and we quickly grew our customer base.

Apart from the day-to-day that a founder has to manage, I was responsible for corporate sales and developing alliances with organisations we identified as having a mutual interest in deploying the solution. 

I also was responsible for hiring development and customer service staff, product design and direction, as well as developing processes to make the business run smoothly.

I am proud to say that the iCMS Travel and Expense Management System is in daily use by thousands of employees of corporates, universities and government departments, across many countries around the world. 

From 2014 the company has new owners and they have renamed the company expense8.com. They are doing a great job in growing the client base and adding cool new functionality.

Since 2014 he has worked with a raft of cool startups and early stage businesses, helping as needed. Background is software and B2B but he’s happy to help with any issues to give an outside perspective.
