I am a Brazilian researcher and a PhD candidate in Design at the University of Aveiro, where I investigate how Participatory Design can mobilize communities and stakeholders to foster sustainable tourism in Portugal. My research combines principles of Social Innovation with interdisciplinary approaches from Tourism, Anthropology, and Management, aiming to propose a framework that integrates sustainability and community engagement. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of Participatory Design, Service Design, and Sustainable Tourism by developing processes and tools that encourage active collaboration among diverse local actors. I seek to reinforce Design’s role as a mediator in shaping transitions toward more sustainable futures through a practical and reflective approach.
