Business Development Representative (Retail, Manufacturing, Wholesale & Hospitality UK&I)

- Management of incoming and outgoing deliveries of new clothing, accessories and home products from mirrors to sofas
- Maintaining a clean, safe working space in the stockroom to ensure we are compliant with 3 health and safety checks per day
- Maintaining and organising stock for easy access to the most relevant items, for cleanliness as well as efficiency when it comes to picking replenishment stock to new lines, best sellers and sale items
- Ensuring deliveries were brought in off of vans and trucks in compliance with health and safety measures, from pallets to furniture and parcel sacks
- Leading a delivery processing team of the highest efficiency in North and West London, with an average team efficiency of 110%+
- Ensuring when forming outgoing pallets that tubs, rails, furniture, boxes and confidential waste were prepared in a safe and efficient manner
- On boarding of new employees, training them on health and safety, guiding them into their new role and reviewing their processing methods to look for areas where efficiency could be optimised
- Co-ordinating with the shopfloor to ensure a smooth incoming and outgoing flow of stock so that the optimum amount of stock per product line were available to customers
- Overseeing the processing of incoming customer parcels to ensure they are registered on the system correctly so that the customer is notified accordingly, as well as keeping the parcel storage room as organised and clean as possible so the shopfloor staff can swiftly get customers parcels
- Carrying out stock and parcel audits to ensure surplus stock was either sent back to a warehouse, another retail store or directly to the parcel warehouse if the items had been purchased by a customer.
- Lead the sale preparation for two sales in the stockroom side of the process, where all sale items in the stockroom were processed according to sale requirements
- Generating staff rotas on a weekly basis, in compliance with man-hour allowances

Stock Manager (parcels, furniture, clothing, returns, sale)

- Leading the shopfloor departments from solely focusing on Womenswear to running Men’s, Women’s, Children’s and Home
- Ensuring customers were served as swiftly, efficiently and kindly as possible to ensure our feedback online was positive but also honest
- Delegating responsibility of department specific duties to ensure that not only customers received great service, but daily jobs such as stock replenishment, general tidying of the floor as well as adding new lines, best sellers and lowest sellers were completed in a timely and effective manner
- Leading the shopfloor side of sales preparation for 3 sales, consisting of identifying, seperating and processing relevant stock to sale specific requirements.
- Generating floor plans to ensure we had a good knowledge of where sales stock, full price stock, new lines, best sellers and lowest sellers were located to ensure we maximised selling opportunity
- Carrying out 3 health and safety checks per day to ensure the floor was safe for both customers and fellow staff members
- Acted as a loss prevention officer, logging any security or clothing tags that were found in locations such as coat hoods, jean pockets or changing rooms to then reviewing CCTV for the relevant department/area and reporting these as per procedure
- Reviewing and providing CCTV footage to local police when a customer reports an item stolen either in or around the store
- Authorising credit agreements on large order sizes for furniture goods in the home department
- Visual merchandising of new stock, following the recommended layouts provided by the company and their visual merchandising team
- Organisation of smaller, department specific stockrooms typically used for shoes, accessories or fixtures
- Reviewing and acting on actual vs. sales target reports, loss prevention reports, efficiency reports and customer feedback reports to ensure each department was maximising sales while offering the best possible service to customers

Shopfloor Coordinator (Mens, Womens, Childrens and Home)

- Counting tills on a bi-daily basis to ensure the accuracy of the money in each till as registered on the system, finding discrepancies and reviewing/reporting them as per procedure. 
- Removing overflow cash from tills and/or the safe to ensure there is no more than necessary cash in the tills or store as a whole, including writing cheques and handing over cash to the appropriate carrier
- Accepting incoming cash that was requested by myself, the other admin or store manager from the bank to ensure sufficient cash was available in each till for customer change
- Auditing discrepancies, expenses, credit agreements, discounts and refunds to ensure there is no cash lost in everyday processes
- Arranging repairs with the appropriate service providers and/or suppliers
- Ordering essential items for back of house and shopfloor operations such as receipt paper, bin bags, confidential waste bags, hangers, size cubes etc.
- Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
- Trained and active fire warden
- Trained in dealing with customer injuries, major weather events and manual trading
