Since starting at Cengage, I have had the honor of working with one of the business's best teams. Our team has doubled units, revenue, and market share (to extend our lead). Internally, we have led our division in activation growth. The products we create are some of the largest, most innovative, and most complex Cengage offers to students and instructors, and we deliver.

I started at Cengage in January 2014, and by the winter of 2016, we were Product and Marketing Team of the Year. In collaboration with Microsoft, we implemented the Excel Online problem type, which has now expanded to the Excel Online and Excel Download problem type. It exists nowhere else in our industry. I am continually looking for opportunities to innovate, rethink, and streamline based on customer and business needs.

Cengage entrusts our team with several first edition products and ancillaries, which is very rare in our current economic environment. When a business opportunity emerges, and innovation is needed, our team is the go-to team. Company Vice Presidents, Directors, and authors know we can do it and deliver to the business, instructors, and students. And we do because we (and I) love what we do.

I developed and maintained online training and compliance content for a division of WORKS International, Inc. called PublicSchoolWORKS using a myriad of software tools including: PowerPoint, Adobe Presenter, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia Studio, Adobe Creative Cloud and many others . My position involved developing new training and compliance courses and updating current content to meet changes in district policy and/or state and federal law.

Our course development pipeline consisted of researchers, a course writer, a course editor, and then myself who took the cumulative work of my colleagues and then turned the content into an interactive, full-featured online training and compliance course. At my stage I did things such as; design and place course content into our brand template, perform and edit voice-over work for our courses, construct courses in Adobe Presenter and Articulate Storyline, edit photos, and develop HTML5 course pages.

Test Administrator for national achievement and professional qualification exams such as SAT, ACT, MCAT, PRAXIS, LSAT. A part of this position was administering various tests that required student accommodations, such as reading test questions, extended time, etc. For this position I also underwent ETS training to ensure a fair and secure testing environment.

Testing Supervisor - Instructional Support Services

Administration and coordination of subject area placement tests for freshman and transfer students on the Indiana Univeristy - Bloomington campus. Subject areas: Mathematics, German, and Spanish. Having worked with at-risk students and academic probation students, I used those experiences to advise my incoming freshman on some of the pitfalls I have seen other students encounter. In addition, I also answered questions from parents as needed.

Private tutor for grade school mathematics (Algebra through Calculus), undergraduate level Finite Mathematics, and undergraduate / graduate level Statistics. My students are very diverse spanning 14 to 50 years old, originated from 4 different countries, and encompassed middle school through Ph.D. level programs. With my younger students I also worked along side parents to develop action plans, study strategies, and general support practices.

As photo editor for the Indiana Daily Student and Arbutus yearbook I coordinated the work of approximately 10 photographers in addition to my own photography work. Academic advising and coordination for 11 courses. Two years of teaching students on academic probation status. Personally developed curriculum and assessment protocols for all courses.

Associate Instructor / Advisor

I served as a mathematics instructor / tutor, primarily for Finite Mathematics, in the IU Athletic Department. Worked with student-athletes from a variety of sports including men's basketball, football, wresting, and swimming/diving. Earned a tremendous amount of experience preparing SA's for the world beyond athletics. And became well-versed in all NCAA, Big Ten, and IU compliance policies.

At Cengage Group, I have played an integral role in increasing revenue and market share by 100% and 50%, respectively, in market-leading disciplines. My current product portfolio encompasses over $150M in annual revenue. Additionally, I am a member of several Artificial Intelligence initiatives, some of which I initiated and prototyped. Finally, with my incredible colleagues, I was part of the "Product & Marketing Team of the Year" twice in my first eight years with the company.

As a YouTube content creator, I have earned over 290,000 subscribers, taught over 15,000 students daily, and hosted a bi-monthly live stream. My unique ability to ingest, deconstruct, and reassemble information allows me to design instructional programs tailored to learners' needs and abilities.
