I am an Account Executive at Clozd and Brigham Young University graduate.

I am a sales professional. My experience comes from working for strong companies like ADP, Podium, and now Clozd. I pride myself in my attention to detail and analytical skills. I am a proud graduate of the Dale Carnegie leadership training program.

This year I decided to learn how to golf

During my first lesson, I was convinced that I was lightyears away from being able to hit a golf ball well

With some minor tweaks to my posture and backswing, I was hitting the ball better within an hour

Since then I've been able to take a new stride forward with each lesson

Every time it's the same thing

A few small tweaks to something I've never considered

It's so powerful to get feedback from an outside perspective that can see what you are doing clearly

Have you ever heard that when you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated?

It's probably not a good idea to not drink water, start running, wait until your thirsty, and then start drinking water

Moral of the story

It's much better to be proactive than reactive

Too often, companies wait until they're really struggling to start doing things

Stay hydrated

Don't wait until your suffering heat stroke to start solving a problem

Sometimes you have a great meeting with a prospect, but the next time you talk you can tell that something has changed

The interest level you thought they had just doesn't seem to be there

Maybe they tell you that they are going in a different direction

I've run into these situations before and it can be maddening

My question was always "what happened between our last call and now that I don't know?"

That's why win-loss analysis exists

It helps you figure out what is happening when you are not in the room
