A Certified Leadership Coach (CLC), Certified Stakeholder Centered Coach (SCC), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Brenda’s practice at BL Talent Solutions leverages her deep breadth of executive experience to provide leadership coaching for individuals – across all levels - to achieve their career goals and objectives. Her approach is informed by her tactical expertise in recruitment and governance, as well as her empathetic communication style. She works closely with clients to understand their individual personality traits and determine the key steps needed to navigate career changes. Brenda’s practice also emphasizes the importance of establishing and maintaining strong relationships, communication, and change management skills at the executive level. Prior to launching BL Talent Solutions, Brenda founded and spent nearly two decades leading one of Canada’s most respected national executive search firms, Higgins International, specializing in diverse leadership mandates. Following the acquisition of the firm by Leaders International Executive Search (“Leaders”), Brenda developed and led Leaders’ National Board Diversity search practice supporting clients across all industries. In addition to executive search and talent advisory, Brenda brings depth of expertise in governance and board diversity. Brenda is a Métis citizen; she speaks regularly at national conferences on topics related to best practices in Indigenous and broader executive, board, and coaching engagements.
