Product & Brand Design Director

Guile

Managed a small team of designers through the initial MVP build, launch, and testing of the Guile mobile app and website. Guile is a mobile platform designed to simplify the booking process for barbers and clients. 

• Initiated and built Guile’s mobile component library and design system, and instituted a process for new component reviews among cross-functional teams.

• Established a transparent process for design, user interviews, reviews, and collaboration with engineering.

• Prioritized design production and focus on the high-quality craft of the current and future states of the app and website to finish within a six-month window.

Built and managed the product design team at a community-based fintech startup aimed at helping users improve their financial well-being in the US and Mexico.

Zume Inc.

Grew and lead a cross-functional team of twenty-five designers, writers, managers, and PMs focused in Product Design (UX/UI), Brand, and Industrial Design. 

Notably, I directed the team through a product and brand refresh of Zume Pizza including all of its website, apps, internal software tools, the design system, product (food) photography, OOH and digital marketing materials, guidelines, tone & voice, employee uniforms, packaging and mobile kitchen trucks. 

Additionally, I directed the team through a built-from-scratch brand "redesign" for Zume, Inc. which included software data tools, software delivery tools, software food production tools, brand positioning, a website, photography, interior truck redesigns, packaging, guidelines, and a number of brand videos.

GoPro

Built and managed small specialty project teams for various web, brand, retail, and packaging projects across the GoPro product and service spectrum. 

• Helped to lead the channel team, providing design, direction, brand guidelines, online and in-store to support new product launches. I supported both internal and external design teams, distributors, and retailers all over the globe (with a heavy emphasis on the LATAM region).

• Worked closely with the ECD and CEO to lead the design on GoPro’s first brand book.

• Drove design and launched the apparel brand program and supported the packaging, brand and advertising teams through a number of product launches.

Associate Creative Director

Liftopia, Inc.

Provided design and direction for all B2B and B2C marketing materials, (including print, e-mail, social media, and a pre-roll spot). I managed and expanded the brands direction and guidelines. I built new processes for reviewing all marketing materials and developed a seasonal pitch process to help create a unified voice for Liftopia’s varied audience. Overall, I provided direction for a small creative team and a few external photographers.
