Responsible for the implementation of the disaster services program in an assigned geographic territory covering 11 counties. Led and managed a primarily volunteer team responsible for the implementation of disaster preparedness, response and recovery programs in the local area. Ensures the development of Disaster Leadership Volunteers in each of the program support functional areas of the disaster cycle in order to meet the needs of the territory, region, state and division.

Operates as a part of the Disaster Management Cycle processes. Responsible for local preparation, response and recovery management as well as management of government partnerships within assigned territory. Drivers for this work included the number of municipalities within my coverage area, the amount and complexity of program activity, presence of significant grant funding, geography, risk, population, frequency of events, and regional structure.

Disaster Services Program Manager

US Army

Directly responsible for the oversight of daily operations, human resources management, reporting and mentorship of 3 employees.

Managed a complex property book ensuring accurate accountability of material valued in excess of $60 million.

Personally ensured all applicable standards for regulations, policies and procedures for property and supply activity were either met or exceeded.

Served as subject matter expert in additional areas such as Environmental Compliance Officer, Small Arms Range Officer and Military Funeral Officer In Charge. Achieved superior results in all areas.

Supply Chain Manager

Performed duties as a Rotary Wing Aircraft Pilot during day, night and instrument metrological conditions. Managed the company’s supply and accountability system including the procurement of necessary materials from multiple government organizations. Primary developer for multi-modal international movement of all hazardous material and equipment.
Developed the companies Tactical Operations Center/ Emergency Operations Center for rapid deployment into austere field environments, ensuring all personnel were trained in multiple areas such as power generation, security and communications to increase effectiveness and sustained operations.

UH60 A/L Blackhawk Pilot

Primary supervisor, trainer and technical lead for 11 employees. During combat operations was responsible for area security. Developed the standard operating procedure for the Iraq detainee reintegration program under my control which was adopted as policy for the entire facility. Inducted into the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. Led small teams in combat and sustainment operations on one deployment to Kuwait and two deployments to the Iraq theaters.

I have over 7 years of experience in non-profit leadership, disaster services,volunteer management, program coordination and development and bring to the table a passion for serving those who serve our nation.

I leverage my skills in organizational leadership, ethical decision making, and risk assessment and mitigation to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our programs and services. I also collaborate with a diverse team of staff and volunteers, as well as external partners and stakeholders, to build strong relationships and foster trust and cooperation. My goal is to empower and uplift military families and veterans, and to make a positive impact in their lives and communities.
