- Educate customers on how AWS services work as well as how they integrate with other services. If the use case requires a non-existent feature, I open a feature request with the service team.

- Primary point of contact for critical escalations on application delivery, networking, and systems performance/capacity. Participate on oncall rotations when deeper service knowledge is required.

- Join customer’s meetings in order to troubleshoot critical issues. Manage the case’s lifecycle, from initial investigation to RCA.

- Work on projects to improve internal processes as well as test new features in order to improve AWS services.

- Interview candidates, mentor new hires, and deliver technical training on new service features.

Cloud Support Engineer II, Network & Security

- Managed multiple Diamond-level enterprise accounts; held weekly meetings to discuss projects and ongoing issues. I was the customer’s primary technical contact within Check Point; I worked on Proof of Concepts (PoC), rulebase auditing, installation of new appliances, software upgrades, migrations, and also troubleshooting.

- Traveled to my customers' locations to train them on Check Point features as well as assist on critical activities (cut-overs, migrations, management server upgrades).

- Proactively notified my customers on the release of security fixes for new vulnerabilities.

- Handled incoming customer calls to assist on critical issues related to networking, security, and application. Managed the entire case’s lifecycle from initial investigation to RCA, opening feature requests and following up with service teams on issues/bugs when needed.

- Executed upgrades and migrations in lab to test for potential outages or package conflicts prior to providing my customers with the fix. Also created the SOP for the activity.

Diamond Services Engineer, Network Security

- Managed several data center projects with multiple parties — internal and external — for the deployment and testing of peering circuits across different AWS locations. Created an SOP to be used across all sites, which reduced the time to completion by 75% of said projects.

- Coordinated expansion networking projects across multiple AWS Data Centers and PoP sites/Edge locations. Broke the project down to multiple tasks and delegated them as a way to asynchronously complete all projects at the same time. 

- Created a document to track the site's cross-connection capacity to different rooms and prevent any shortfalls.

- Coordinated projects with multiple colocations to expand the cross-connection capacity.

- Primary point of contact for critical escalations locally as well as on remote locations.

- Replacement of faulty server/hardware components as well as faulty networking devices - motherboard, CPU, memory, disk, RAID, network cards, dongle cards, backplanes, switches, routers, line-cards, supervisor cards, etc.

- Troubleshoot of multiple network components, such as routers, switches, DWDM, line-cards, optical fibers, SFPs, QSFPs, etc.

- Coordinate and implement local network scaling projects.

- Provided oncall support to enterprises as well as local businesses, restoring the WAN connectivity and ensuring system stability.

- Worked together with the customer's local IT team in order to fix network problems - routing protocol advertising wrong networks, packets being filtered by ACLs and Firewalls, NAT misconfigured, port security blocking network access, interface speed mismatch, duplex misconfigured, etc.
