I'm an idea guy, and I like to turn some of those idea's into startups in my "free time", if they pass my 7 sleeps test. Current businesses I've started and am looking for the right cofounders or partners for (not investors) to take to the next level (Startup studio style): -ListenerU: an audio-learning and audiobook platform. The mobile app is live with about 20,000 audiobooks and 30 audio courses. -BeRenting.ca: Like Airbnb, but for long-term rentals, with property management and tenant / property ratings, which are like built in reference and accountability checks. The web app is live. -ListenerTech: a high-quality yet affordable website and app development company. Partnerships and employees are in place, just need the projects! Ideas I am looking into or starting: -Healthy, ecofriendly, Lake Superior water tallboys. -Numerous apps for other companies (rentals, entrepreneur ecosystem app, geology exploration app, Mine Rescue app, farmers market app, etc). -Book about luck (and maybe a podcast) -News website for Off Earth Mining (and maybe a podcast). ___ I enjoy a good challenge, and trying new things. I have a mix of job experiences, which I like to think helps make me well-rounded, from leading geology and mining teams to startups and business and developing crazy ideas, like setting unique world records (ever try paddling a 900lb pumpkin down a river?). Dropping out of my MBA to launch a business in the audio-learning sector was a bold choice I made, but I believe it speaks to my commitment to innovation and to making education accessible and enjoyable. I have a genuine desire to help others, whether it’s through education, business consulting, tackling Canada's housing crisis, apps, or exploring green tech. As a Business Advisor and Vice President of StartUP Sault, I’m involved in helping entrepreneurs and businesses, from securing grants to building valuable networks. I value adaptability, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and staying positive. However, being a good dad is at the top of my list!
