I entered the sponsorship industry in the late 1980’s while seeking alternate revenue channels for night club operations I was managing. This developed into a role with a group of radio stations in the Maritimes overseeing their sponsorship investments and activation programs as well as promotional activities. From Atlantic Canada I took my sponsorship career west to Alberta where I worked alongside a team of professionals creating, developing, selling and implementing sponsorship programs with the Calgary Flames Hockey Club radio broadcasts. This soon expanded to also work with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club radio broadcast sponsorship team. In 2001 I opened the doors to my present role with the creation of the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ consulting firm. Since 1988 I have been a Rotarian and continue to dedicate my volunteer efforts thought this worthy organization. Over the years I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Fredericton, Rotary Club of Calgary Olympic and Rotary Club of Calgary West holding roles in these clubs as a Board Member, Club Secretary in Fredericton as well as working on the 1996 International Convention Committee and chairing the Rotary District 5360 2009 Conference. In addition to this volunteer time I am pleased also to provide mentoring support through the Association of Fundraising Professionals of which I am member, the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, Trinity College School mentoring program and support my alma maters at Brentwood College School and Huron College – University of Western Ontario where I received my undergraduate degree.
