Lead and manage a team of detectives responsible for investigation of criminal offenses.  I have been actively involved or lead investigator on a wide variety of investigations to include: Cold Case Homicides, Homicides, Computer crimes, White Collar Crime, Fraud, Persons Crimes, and property related offenses.

I recently started a Digital Forensics Unit on a shoestring budget.  This is a capability our department has needed for a long time.  We are now able to process some of our digital evidence without the need to outsource it to other agencies.

I was awarded Supervisor of the Year for 2022.

Police Sergeant

I was a hostage negotiator for over 10 years.  During that time, I assisted in transitioning the team to a multi-agency response.  I led in-service training for the team that included classroom and practical scenarios.  On average we responded to 12-15 calls per year ranging from suicidal persons, barricaded persons, and warrant services.  I served as a Team Leader for the last 5 years.

Hostage Negotiations Team

Investigate criminal offenses, secure and execute search and arrest warrants.  I was the designated Detective with Computer Expertise to assist other detectives in securing arrest warrants for devices, social media companies, mobile wireless companies, and I was responsible for processing the data returned for actionable information to further the investigation.  I also served on the United States Secret Service Financial Crimes Task Force during this time.

I was selected for a 2 year rotational position in the investigations division.  During that time, I investigated many different types of criminal investigations.

19 year law enforcement veteran with an emphasis on investigations and technology.  I am beginning the process transitioning from my law enforcement career to a career in cyber-security.  As a detective, I have been the designated 'tech' guy.  I assist detectives in securing warrants for computer devices and related records from Technology and Wireless companies.  I would then take the data and analyze it to further the investigation.  I would also conduct basic digital forensics on devices.
