During the 2019 fall semester at Mt. San Antonio College in the hilly city of Walnut, Ca. I participated in the Work Experience program of the Industrial Design Engineering/ Manufacturing department. During that time my goal was to optimize the acrylic frame design of a well known and basic FDM type 3D printer. Through many ideations and the use of CAD and laser cutting I was able to create an acrylic frame that not only increased the rigidity of the frame itself but also decreased the over all weight of the project.
