I help individuals and families gain access to the legal system through Legal Shield's "Life events legal plan" as well as offering protection from Identity Theft through the"Identity Theft Shield."

Working directly with the largest and most successful data security/risk management company in the world, KROLL FRAUD SOLUTIONS, Legal Shield has been able to establish an incredible "full circle protection" product. With over 1.6 million members nationwide and through out canada I am very proud to represent such a great company.

One of my favorite moments of 2025…

A dear friend of mine left his high paying B2B job to get into the insurance business, about 5 years ago. After being laid off in a downsizing he realized that he needed to take control of his future. 

He decided to come on board with Erb and Young and change careers, instead of taking the same position he had held before with a local competitor. 

He started from the bottom, worked his way up. Stayed curious, humble and coachable. He learned what he needed to know to be effective, and fell in love with this industry. 

Fast-forward to 2025, he had a breakout year. Taking home over $100,000 in net commission in just 1 month! 

Not only has he doubled his income, but he now has a large asset for retirement, and has more time freedom to spend it with his family and friends. 

But… more than anything — He now owns his future.

These types of “wins” are about so much more than money. It’s about providing a platform for individuals to create an extraordinary life. A life on their terms. A life by design. A life of their dreams. To provide, while having the flexibility to also be present. 

My mentor told me, “If you commit and do the work, It will take you 5 years to be successful. If you don’t, it will cost you a lifetime of regret.”

Protect your energy. 🧘‍♂️ I’m not great at this. Here’s is what I’m learning…

• It’s only getting harder 
• I have to get better
• I use the gym and movement as medicine 
• I use reading and quiet time as medicine
• I’m not being mean or absent, just focused 
• Remove the guilt, it doesn’t serve the mission
• I have limits, so I must set boundaries 
• Be okay with being misunderstood 
• Giving myself grace is not weak, it’s kind
• Slipping into “victim mode” is a big threat. 

Protect, Recharge, and create stress systems (consistent routines, actions, and reactions to stressful environments) for combating burnout.

One of the Erb and Young OG’s, Torey Scarbrough continues to find himself in the winner’s circle. Humility, and a willingness to learn new things are just 2 of the many attributes I love about Torey.

EVERY DAY it’s melting… act accordingly. Plan for attrition, forecast out your breakeven point, and then pour resources into sales distribution. The days of sitting on a book of business and collecting an income are melting away.

There is nothing wrong with our industry. It’s just evolving, and being disrupted right now, just like every other industry on the planet. There is a lot of money to be made for those who want to change with it.💰 

I believe in…us! The independent agent! We are a badass group of entrepreneurs, but we must evolve.
