Prior to becoming self-employed, I'd gained over ten years' experience in communications and PR roles across a range of organisations, from a small charity to mid-size PR agencies to large public sector bodies. As a self-employed PR consultant, I now work with direct clients of my own, but also operate as a freelancer providing white label services to creative agencies wanting to add to the services they offer or to PR agencies in need of an experienced extra pair of hands. In particular, I have experience of the following; - Writing press releases, thought leadership articles and other copy - Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) - Selling-in to local, regional, national and trade media - Responding to media enquiries - Crisis communications - Devising and implementing Communications Plans across a range of media - Managing websites and social media channels - Account management and client servicing, both in agency and in-house roles. As part of this, the building and maintenance of productive relationships with both media contacts and partner organisations has also been paramount. Through my previous roles, I have experience working with public sector bodies, charities and business, meaning I can offer a wide range of skills and knowledge.
