I joined Loyalty as CDAO and a year later picked up the CTO role as well. I am championing a high performing agile culture and reinventing Loyalty D&A and Tech with new platforms and modern technologies. To date we have decommissioned three of the four on-prem legacy solutions (replaced with cloud native solutions) and completed a full migration to the cloud in March 2022. In addition, We have re-organised the delivery into an agile model, increasing throughput, reliability and team retention. This model has seen me move away from day-to-day operations which are now sustainably led by my management teams. I have helped forge a tight partnership with other parts of the organisation, breaking down silos and greatly smoothing delivery and effectiveness.

I have returned to NZ to focus on consumer analytics, in particular membership and loyalty. Here at Loyalty NZ we are having fun migrating to a state of the art big data platform to set us up for major developments over the coming years, taking membership and loyalty to a new level. Having a lot of fun reinventing the EMEA data and analytics siloes into a single, agile unit to support the Nike Consumer Direct Offense. We are moving off our legacy on-prem solutions and engineering a cutting edge cloud platform. The squads are working in tight partnerships with our business partners to  to set up a truly enterprise wide platform in AWS and snowflake to enable real time decision support and AI.  Our data scientists are embedded into the business functions and are busy unlocking the value of our data to drive our growth.

I have been responsible for building a retail analytics team here in Europe for Nike. We have taken an unreliable set of static reports and turned it into a stable, mission critical, solution that is at the heart of the business decision making process.  This has included migrating the solution to the cloud, setting up an analytics team and platform as well as creating a data science practice.

At Heineken I was leading a team re-architecting the legacy platforms and implementing global solutions to support the new strategy. My team created a new architecture based on SAP Hana and piloted the new solution.

Solutions architect responsible for the  global BAT BW solution. This was the key reporting solution used by all regions and world head quarters to run the business.

Created the BAT near shore design center in Madrid. This was a multi disciplinary SAP and Siebel near shore design center to provide the link between the business teams in London and the offshore development teams in India and the Philippines. My initial focus was the BW teams but this was later expanded to all the design teams.

Before that I was working in supply chain operations. I have extensive experience leading technology teams and projects as well as architecting solutions in a global environment. I am currently leading the D&A teams and Technology teams at LNZL; fostering a high performing agile culture and reinventing D&A and Tech with new platforms and taking advantage of developments in advanced analytics and machine learning.
