I have decided the time is right for me to retire and enjoy life.  I have had a challenging, exciting, and rewarding career starting with the US Marine Corps in the 1970s and early 80s and then spending over 40 years in the IT industry.  I had the opportunity to see the world and work with so many wonderful team members in my career.

Thanks to all of you that have had such a positive impact on me and my family as we have journeyed throughout my career.

My plans are to travel with my wonderful wife, spend more time volunteering with other veterans, and contributing my skills and experience as a director on a couple of boards.

I have recently taken on an expanded role leading the global GreenLake Hybrid Cloud Managed Services business as part of the HPE GreenLake Managed Services team. This includes the build and launch of the MSP services, and the ongoing leadership of the growth of the business as part of the HPE hybrid cloud managed services portfolio in support of the HPE as a Service strategy.  I also continue to lead the Managed Cloud Controls (MCC) business which focuses on helping enterprises deal with key areas of the cloud around security, compliance and cost controls across their hybrid cloud.  In that role, I am leading the integration of a new managed security service with MCC and other offerings as part of a Governance, Risk, and Compliance suite.   I also serve as executive sponsor and provide leadership for a number of enterprise accounts during their digital transformation and cloud adoption engagements.

Some recently completed engagements include:

- Working with many clients to address their regulatory and compliance needs in the public cloud.  This includes controls related to security, external and internal compliance, risk, costs, and operations.
- Provided leadership and guidance working with a top tier cloud services provider to define and expand their cloud consulting services portfolio and capabilities. 
- Led an engagement with a top ten global company to define their cloud strategy, principles, reference architecture and required capabilities.  Also performed an analysis and deployment of a cloud management platform solution to manage a multi-cloud environment including several public clouds and also on premise private clouds.
- Helped one of the largest conglomerates in the world to successfully migrate fifty applications to AWS in less than a month.  This was a rapid POC across multiple business units to prove it could be done for very simple applications.

I provided strategic consulting and tactical advice to clients for their global implementation of cloud computing.  This included architectural, technical, organizational, go to market, methodology and process aspects of cloud.  My primary client was Fujitsu where he helped to develop and implement their global cloud and local cloud platforms.  I provided leadership and guidance with their global rollout of a standardized cloud platform in six different countries. This included the implementation of the infrastructure across the data centers as well as all other aspects of the cloud program including the go to market activities, creation and rollout of the cloud professional services portfolio, field sales and delivery launch, sales and technical training, operational deployment, and customer, analysts and media activities.  I also picked up the global responsibilities for cloud portfolio management / offering development and global field enablement for sales and delivery teams.  He was also responsible for professional services including legacy modernization and cloud consulting teams, and supporting key strategic deal opportunities.

Provided leadership for all areas of Unisys cloud computing program.  This included strategic leadership for program, cloud platform architecture and deployment management, and product / portfolio management responsibilities as well as go to market activities.  Also responsible for enabling the field sales and delivery teams and supporting key strategic deal opportunities.

He was responsible for leading and ensuring consistent, high quality sales and delivery of our professional services and solutions portfolio around the world. He also led the product management and content leadership for the portfolio. The portfolio focuses on data center transformation and cloud computing offerings and solutions.

Brian Ott was the CTO for Unisys information technology organization responsible for setting the enterprise architecture strategy and direction. He is responsible for the thought leadership and implementation of the 3D-Visible Enterprise (3D-VE) program across Unisys global IT organization.  He is also responsible for the successful implementation of Unisys strategic program solutions for internal use as a best practice example for Unisys clients.

Responsibilities included sales, staffing, engagement delivery, alliance development and support, business strategy, and intellectual capital development.  Consulting services included: strategic and tactical operational contact center consulting, technical services consulting, including business case development, technology integration, process measurement, business partner relations, sales programs, service standards, quality assurance, compensation and benefits, and overall operational strategy.
