A content creator, an AI, and a metaverse walk into a bar… I don’t know if there is a joke in there. Time will tell. The creator economy is experiencing yet another shift with the progress and possibilities of AI tools, the metaverse, and whatever else is charging toward us at the speed of…Oh. Whoops. There it goes. Whether you are an experienced creator or a complete noob; creativity, learning, and problem-solving in an environment of rapid change is exciting and feels daunting at the same time. One overarching question comes to mind: How are these technological changes going to impact how I learn, my skill set, or current role? Maybe some better, less loaded questions to start with would be: 🔹Where or how do you start? 🔹What tools should you use? And when you begin to answer these surface-level questions, other considerations and fears start to sneak out of the shadows nagging for your attention. 🔹There is a bunch of stuff to learn, 🔹processes to develop, and 🔹mindset shifts to consider. There is no shortage of options to explore and resources to learn from. This can make it challenging to find a clear path through the swirling cloud of content. It’s a lot. So, how do you manage learning new things and creating content for your business or personal brand in addition to everything else demanding your focus and time? Starting with small, consistent steps, you develop and grow your content design skills and strategy. Over time, the small steps become larger and more effective strides. The processes and efficiencies you integrate into your existing workflows free up time for continued learning and other priorities. You are able to generate more content in less time. Your confidence increases, and creating content becomes less of a mysterious chore and more of an intentional habit. Despite what you may think—Everyone is creative. The secret? Learn, practice, learn more, practice more. And so on. My focus in the near-term is to provide learning, design, strategy, and consulting resources for content creators. The more adaptable and receptive to change we are, the better we can enable and empower ourselves and others to be creative, lifelong learners, and problem solvers. Creating content is a fun, challenging, and overall rewarding experience. Whether you are a course designer, entrepreneur, or small business owner, share your experiences, processes, ideas, and failures. Most importantly: Enjoy the process. Let’s connect! Feel free to send a DM to share your content design, process, or workflow challenges.
