Property Development  Project Management Design Coordination 

FKG Group

Manager of the Facility Management Division
As the manager of the Facility Management Division of FKG Group, Scott leads the team in after sales service.  His role is to manage and administer the maintenance contracts, and liaise with clients for all Defects Liability Period (DLP) and post-DLP matters that may arise on completed projects.  Scott’s stakeholder engagement experience is greatly beneficial to this position, as he is required to ensure all clients’ concerns are addressed and resolved in an amicable manner that results in ongoing repeat business.
Along with relationship management, Scott’s role includes managing, forecasting, and maintaining the maintenance budget.  Scott ensures all direct supervision is compliant to the specific contractual documentation, relevant legislative, codes of practice, and Australian Standard requirements.

SMJ Projects Pty Ltd

Family owned medium-rise construction company, with annual turnover in excess of
$8M, specialising in commercial, industrial and multi-residential projects throughout
south-east Queensland.
Responsibilities:
• Managed on-site construction supervisors, ensuring they delivered projects
within specific timeframes and within strict budgets
• Prepared and assisted with construction estimating, tender submissions, and
project documentation.
• Tracked, scheduled and managed complex projects using Microsoft Project
software
• Liaised with project stakeholders directly to define and deliver their needs.
• Used negotiation skills and employed rapid decision-making under pressure
• Managed Risk
Achievements:
• Successfully delivered 29 projects ranging in value from approx. $500K to in
excess of $5M
• Increased company turnover from <$500K to >$8M in 5 years
• Secured on-going work from 3 repeat clients accounting for 15 of the 29
completed projects
