I have found myself in the field of marketing, specialising in social media, and am very passionate about it all - from creating content to engaging with audiences and building business pages. I started my marketing career in the business of organic certification working for a leading NFP industry body. Early on I was thrown in the deep end to help manage an international trade mission to China, including managing the logistics, freight and people. From here I worked in a national marketing role supporting the events, advertising, promotions, memberships and social media presence of the business. Over 5+ years here I developed great first-hand experience in hosting and managing national awareness campaigns, events and webinars. After half a decade in my first marketing role I decided it was time for a change and made the jump to RDO Equipment while in its infancy, about six weeks before we officially launched the brand in the Australian market, taking over the Construction & Forestry equipment contract for John Deere from Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia. In our early days with minimal staff I held a more general marketing role covering event management, customer communications, advertising, merchandise and the building of our social media presence. We grew quickly and so did the marketing team, allowing us to move more into specialised roles and focuses. Through this change I manage the primary roles of building the social media presence for RDO Equipment Australia and Vermeer Australia, as well as managing the advertising for both brands. Through having the opportunity to build the RDO and Vermeer Australia social channels, I have grown very passionate about social media and am focused on continuing to grow and upskill in this space.
