As the Secretary-General of the Yidan Prize Foundation, I work closely with the foundation’s Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, and Judging Committee to design and implement strategic initiatives that advance our mission of creating a better world through education. Over the past eight years, the foundation has awarded US$30 million to support 19 laureates to advance education research and development in more than 50 countries. I am dedicated to fostering a global community of Yidan Prize laureates and partners, where theory and practice converge to set new standards of excellence in teaching and learning, ultimately contributing to brighter futures for local communities. Prior to joining the foundation, I served as a lead grant-maker in education, youth development, and poverty alleviation at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, one of the world’s leading charitable donors. Before that, I was the founding Director of Finance and Operations at Character Lab in New York, where I focused on bridging the science and practice of character education. My career also includes strategy consulting at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where I supported global foundations and multilateral institutions in addressing pressing social challenges, as well as investment banking on Wall Street. I hold a Bachelor of Science from MIT and a Master in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School. Additionally, I am a proud graduate of the United World College of Hong Kong.
