I am a hands-on Test Engineer with extensive experience in problem solving with the customer at my elbow. My strengths include adaptive problem solving skills, mechanical inclination, and dealing with ambiguity and paradoxical test requirements. I am accustomed to fast-paced and high-visibility environments. I have planned and executed test projects spanning six to nine months with budgets up to $4,000,000. I took the initiative to upgrade the wind tunnel test operation from paper to electronic documentation. I overcame a design hurdle by inventing a new missile airframe. There is a patent pending. I was brought onto a missile program specifically to “fix” the aerodynamic model in the missile simulation: • Overhauled the defective aerodynamic model • Passed verification and validation • Revealed missile range could be extended by 30 percent without hardware changes • Demonstrated higher-fidelity pre-flight predictions than customer’s simulation I investigated anomalies in missile flight tests: • Inspected missiles on production line • Found aerodynamic issues created during production • Discovered errors in engineering drawings • Reported all issues with corrective suggestions • Turned in a 120 man-hour/year production cost reduction initiative • Appointed to Manufacturing/Quality Team • Participated in Production Line Validation of Work Instructions I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Tech.
