as a Revenue Officer, I meet with the taxpayers and using my knowledge of tax law and great customer service, help the taxpayer come into voluntary compliance with their federal income tax obligations. I use my analytical skills to help the taxpayer see where they were lacking in their assessment of their taxes and help them find ways to pay the fair and just amount of tax owed. I use my critical thinking skills to understand where there are issues for the taxpayer and help them find solutions with the same end goal of bringing them into voluntary compliance. I also bring the taxpayers into compliance when they haven't filled their returns. I educate them on their responsibilities as to their tax obligations.
