Project Manager

Armoured Trials and Development Unit Liaison with 16 Air Assault Brigade; providing subject matter expertise for advising the requirements needed for an airborne role. Trial products with robust feedback loop to ensure products are suited for military applications. Maintain and establish dialogue with industry partners to create tailor made products for specific needs. Research new and upcoming technologies to be situationally aware of what is available.

Project LURCHER - June 2022 - Present
A personal pursuit which led to a formalised tasking. This work stream aims to attain funding to convert 4/5 Land Rover variants to full EV specification. This is to be run parallel to TD6 and allow for an informed decision making process for electric propulsion. 

Technology Demonstrator 6 (TD6) - February 2021 - Present 
Assistant trial manager for TD6. This is the hybridisation of the Man SV, HMTV AND Foxhound. Persistent engagement with the TD6 team to facilitate how to gather data and compare against in-service internal combustion engine vehicles. Expertise gained from this work stream led to informing Army futures directly and on their behalf at DSEI (MERCURY stand). 

Light Mobility Sprint - January 2021 - January 2022 
The outcomes of this work contributed to the personal commendation from the Chief of the General Staff (CGS). Understanding the market and trends in this sphere with deep specialist subject matter knowledge to help inform future decision making. Reporting and advising on technical details, including for definitive weight classes and considerations for air portability. 

Fused Target Locator (FTL) - October 2021 
Assistant trial manager. 

Winterisation Clothing trial - March 2021 
Trial manager tasked to compile a report for winterisation modifications for open Mounted Close Combat platforms. 

Persistent Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance - Urgent Capability Requirement 
User assistance for trial.

Trial Manager

Facilitate training of multiple driving courses which included duties such as:

Planned training timetable.
Administered accommodation for students.
Prepared feeding arrangements throughout courses.
Co-ordinated driver training areas by liaising with senior management.
Organise classrooms to facilitate the training.
Liaise with other organisations to train a wider range of backgrounds. 

This enabled the qualification of RWMIK drivers/commander/gunners utilising various training areas across the U.K.

Achievements 
Directly worked with the RAF to implement TALO (Tactical Air Land Operation) Air Assault procedure for the latest aircraft A400. 

Provided advice on potential future procurements with DSTL (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory). Propound an idea that is getting further looked into for potential development.

Updated the fire support group standard operating procedures. Utilising up to date defence writing techniques to give a professional standard to the procedures. The booklet is used by junior positions to understand immediate actions. Also to streamline processes and enable senior managers on how to get the best results from the fire support group.

Operations Training Manager

The subject matter expert teaching Armoured vehicle recognition. The subject matter expert for the battalion on the latest armoured vehicle recognition material. Distribute training and presentations to the battalion. Keep up to date on the latest technology that we could potentially come up against or along side using online research, internal intelligence and visiting defence exposition. 

Ground sign awareness and tracking instructor for students to analyse minute details to develop an overall understanding of what has occurred in a location. This requires lateral thinking with specialised knowledge to create an accurate account on what has occurred on the ground. Teach students to apply these skills in various environments.

Senior Instructor

Fleet management of 10 vehicles worth over £4.5 million. To oversee the weekly checks of the vehicles and monitor servicing dates and updated modifications. Weekly check the complete equipment scheduel and demand for broken and deficient items. Report back directly to senior management on the state of the fleet. Maintain spread sheet of driver training records of 30 people.

Motor Transport Fleet Manager

Work in a team to instruct students on how to drive and maintain a Jackal worth £500k. Other duties include: 
Fleet management of 10 vehicles worth over £4.5 million. 
Oversee the weekly checks of the vehicles and monitor servicing dates and updated modifications. 
Weekly check the complete equipment schedule and demand for broken and deficient items. 
Report back directly to senior management on the state of the fleet. Maintain spread sheet of driver training records of 30 people.

Deployed to Jordan, Kenya.

Produced an air portability platform review - Compiled a report using spread sheet and an essay on my perspective along with unbiased statistics on what vehicle platform we should use. This looked at a weight reduction study and and in-depth review of various vehicle platforms. This helped enable the decision making process for future procurement for top level managers.

Instructor - 2016 - 2018

Command 2-4 people to work either independently or part of a larger group to provide an asset of an Anti tank weapon system. High standard of discipline along with low level skills to prevent being detected whilst being diligent enough to navigate, locate, observe and strike. Provide accurate realtime and/or consolidated intelligence to senior management along with personal expertise and understanding of a situation.
Deployed to the Falkland islands, USA, Germany/Poland

Team Lead

Trained to drive the RWMIK weapons mounted platform worth £200k. Trained to live and work within a vehicle for prolonged periods of time whilst maintaining personal administration.
Deployed to the Falklands, Kenya
Represented the company in boxing.

Specialist Driver

Trained to use specialist equipment at the cost of £330k. Able to work in small groups unsupervised to help facilitate goals of the larger organisation. Quickly trained to provide support for G4S on the Olympic games in 2012.

Equipment Specialist

Trained to join an elite infantry fighting unit where skills gained were used in Afghanistan on Herrick 13. A high pressure environment under consistent threat where expected to perform to the highest ability. Constantly highly engaged with local surroundings working with local national forces. Working with diverse population to work towards a common local goals. Working in a confined environment with the same team showed the ability to be a cohesive unit under pressure whilst constantly highly motivated despite lack of free time and sleep. Conducting security patrols and long term observation.

Team Member

BattleLab

Assisting the Defence Battlelab team to help navigate routes for Defence to create an environment that is conducive to innovative ideas. Bringing transparency to the funding options available to utilise new technology to its full potential. Accommodating Trial Development Unit (TDU) work with the Battlelab. Representing the Battlelab to all levels, delivering briefs up to parliamentary level (Minister of Defence Procurement). A current work strand is to use Defence sport to help innovation investigation. Understanding innovation funding streams to help facilitate sports and recreational activities. Preliminary aim to purchase e-bikes and distribute them across all three military services and then to collect and analyse data for use in a competitive environment, elevating safety and qualification concerns.

As an engaging professional with a deep immersion in the Defence capability development sector, I am frequently called upon to represent the Armoured Trials and Development Unit, where I serve as a leading 'innovation champion' for electric technology. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, I am a trusted adviser and representative of the British Army Futures Directorate at corporate events, engaging effectively with both specialist and generalist audiences.

Consistently performing above the level expected of my contemporaries and operating independently with the trust of my superiors, I am recognized for my unwavering reliability and commitment. In fact, my dedication was acknowledged with a personal commendation from the Chief of the General Staff (CGS) for the New Year Honours list in 2022.
