Production Procurement (Buyer)

Delphi

Interpreting the parts, components and bill of materials to understand and answer customer requirements and queries.
Interaction with vendors to ensure that supplies are as per requirements, competitive costs and timely delivery.
Assessed components life cycle using screening criteria related to safety, production reliability and cost.
Expediting materials from suppliers and ensure on-time delivery.
Receives, inspects, and distributes merchandise to appropriate individuals; files damage claims with freight companies or vendors.
Prepares periodic reports related to purchasing, inventory control, and shipping and receiving within the local operation
Coordinates expenditure records with university accounts payable in order to assure prompt and accurate payment to vendors.

Engineering Assistant

Managed packaging and shipping of supplies for assigned projects and the required documents for ease of delivery and customer satisfaction.
Generate report, assure record accuracy, perform clerical duties, coordinate urgent needs, monitor pull signals in SAP and perform special assignments.
Review suppliers Delfor and Deljit accuracy to ensure timely availability of materials
Liaise with production planner to ensure level forecast to suppliers
Maintain and control raw material to optimum level
Provide support to PC&L supervisor
Ensure supplier compliance to delivery, and procedures of PC&L
Coordinate urgent needs e.g. support proto/engineering build, quality issues etc
Certified supplier to EDI compliance together with competency center
New program start-up co-ordination
