All financial advisors need a client acquisition strategy. Many use a “bottom up” approach, finding people interested in talking and later learning if they qualify. I train advisors in a “top down” strategy, systematically identifying prospects within the wealthiest 2-5% of their local market along with choosing the organizations to join to meet and socialize with them, how to start conversations when there’s a significant age or wealth difference and how to tactfully transform wealthy friends into clients. This training is usually done in group settings and is locally researched and customized for specific markets. Training includes step by step Action Plans with deliverables and follow-up included in the cost of my group training. In addition, I’m also published in about a dozen print or online publications in the US, UK and Canada. 220 articles were published in 2017, many in publications specific to the financial services, accounting and insurance industries.
