A collaborative project between UCD, DCU and Galway University in Ireland funded by the "SEAI" (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland). The project is focused on the life cycle analysis of energy efficient building renovations whilst considering the Indoor Environmental and Air Quality aspects. A project carried out through the C-CAPS research group(Centre for Climate  and Air Pollution Studies) at the College of Science and Engineering at University of Galway.

Doctoral Researcher

Lab demonstration during the academic year for 1st year Engineering and Science students. A seasonal and a part time role within the College of Science and Engineering at University of Galway 

Main responsibilities include 
  > Lab demonstrating for 1st year Physics module PH101 which includes the  use of practical equipment and softwares. 
  > Contributing towards the day-to-day operations of the lab.
  > To be aware of any health and safety implications along with the necessary procedures to ensure a safe learning environment. 
> To alert the lab technical officers any equipment malfunctions.

> Designing the data collection and the approach to data collection.
> Provide  appropriate resources that will support the students in completing the project.
> Provide feedback on the project deliverables in sufficient time so that changes can be implemented by the students.

•	Liaised with the Central Engineering team in driving CAPEX projects forward. 
•	Ensuring the projects are in align with the relevant standards pertaining to Fonterra New Zealand. 
•	Coordinated with the internal Engineering, Procurement, Health & Safety, Finance, and Food Safety Quality teams, as well as external third-party suppliers/vendors, to drive the projects forward with on time delivery and meet the highest standards as stipulated by the organization.
•	Prepared the technical scope and design reviews documents along with other relevant documentation for Capital expenditure projects focusing on process improvements, business continuity, sustainability and the overall improvement of the organization’s strategic goals. 
•	Liaising with suppliers and contractors in receiving quotations to drive CAPEX projects forward for on-time completion of project tasks. Thereby ensuring no significant deviations in project timelines. 
•	Developed project timelines for  15 CAPEX Projects using MS Projects and monitoring on a weekly basis

Executive: Project Engineer CAPEX

Brandix

Worked with the  BAL Environmental sustainability team to drive the organisations sustainability and net zero strategies forward. The strategies focuses on the three main pillars of Air, Water and Earth.

•	Coordinated and Guided the plant/factory Engineering, Compliance, H&S and Admin teams within the group to complete the HIGG Index Audit process. Higg Index is a tool used to measure the sustainability performances of organisations within the apparel and textile manufacturing sectors. Achieved a group average score of 89% for 2022 with an improvement from 71% in 2021 indicating a significant improvement in sustainability performance. 
•	Implemented the actions points from 4 customer requested sustainability related audits in-order to maximize the business opportunities
•	Drive the action points agreed upon from the audit results forward, based on the three sustainability pillars of Air, Water, and Earth
•	Collaborated with the CSR team on 6 initiatives of the organization in terms of social sustainability: Improving the communities of our employees and supporting their families. .
•	Monitored & Analysed the utility related data for each factory in terms of water, energy and biomass consumption. If any significant deviations or increase liaising with the plant engineering team to rectify.
•	Managing the Earth Pillar: Waste management strategies of the group including maintaining the agreements of waste handling vendors. Ensuring the legal documents pertaining to the waste management process are up-to-date. Tracking the waste data from the facilities across Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh

Sustainability Engineer 

British Council

Supporting the planning process of School Exams conducted by the British Council in Srilanka. 
1. School Examinations product portfolio including CAIE(Cambridge Assessment International Education) and Pearson Edexcel.  Qualifications include IGCSE, OLevels, AS/ALevels and IAL(International Advanced Level).

2. Assisting in registrations and other exams related inquiries made by Schools and Private Candidates. 

3.Creating the timetables and scheduling  both theory and practical based examinations for the relevant subjects and components according to the specific examination board. 

4.Liasing with external and internal parties to ensure that everything is in order. Liasing parties include School exam heads, teachers, internal customer service team and the examination boards(CAIE and Edexcel). 

5.Generating the reconciliation reports for examination centers and collating them for the  respective examination series.

6. Coordinating with the venue staff management team to allocate venue staff for the exams. 

7.Working together with the exams delivery team to ensure the process is clear and error free.

8. Developing ESGs/SOPs (Easy step guides/Standard operating procedures) for the exams registration related procedures to save the time for us as well as the customers.

9. Acting as the first point of contact for candidates, schools and parents regarding examination registration related inquiries. Attended to inquiries received via emails, calls and saleforce system.

10.Member of the  green team working on uploading the organisation environmental sustainability performance through collecting water, energy, waste and transportation related data to the RIO system(ESG Reporting as a EF country coordinator).Working with the other green members in planning events for different key environmental days (Water day etc.). Minimising the organisational carbon footprint through implementing energy, water and waste reduction strategies as per the Global BC Environmental policy.

Exams Planning and Logistics officer 

Assisted in delivering  the May/June 2022 School exams according to the relevant standards as stipulated by the Cambridge Assessment International Education(CAIE) Board and the British Council. Ensuring all the relevant protocols are practiced within the examination venues preventing any sort of malpractices. Worked with the supervisor and senior invigilators to make sure exams are conducted in a way with the highest standards.

Sebim Engineering (PVT) Ltd.

Working as a project & design engineer for Mechanical Ventilation and Air conditioning projects.
Scope of work involved :
•	Developed BOQs as per the design specifications set out by the contractor.
•	Liaised with  the senior team on the entire project from supplying up to installation and commissioning.
•	Reviewing the pre-requisite documents for the bidding and the tendering process for a project.
•	Creating the quotations for the projects.
•	Planning the site visits with senior engineers to identify the requirements to prepare the quotation for respective projects. 
•	Improved project coordination through efficient project management techniques.

Design & Estimation Engineer

Inspiring the younger generation in the North East Region and beyond in the UK to follow a STEM-related career in the future. The career opportunities that are available in the STEM field and making them believe that they could change the world through a STEM-related career. Followings were the activities and projects that I was a part of in the past.

2. Presentations on topics related to mechanical engineering, renewable and sustainable energy technologies. 
3. Mentoring programs, This included Nuffield research placement (2020-21 cohort), Brightside Mentoring. (Life after school project with STEM Learning).
4. STEM club sessions, Penfriend for national writing day, and British Science Week events.
5. Worked with two educators/CPD facilitators on a CPD Content development project focused on the integration of climate change into the secondary level curriculum for secondary level educators/teachers. 
6.Worked on a pilot CPD project focused on developing primary school children's working scientific skills.  The theme focused was on the good and the harmful impacts from the sun.

The focus of this research was to produce a publication on the feasibility review of an exercise machine based Energy harvester for mass market adaptation.
