The Radiology IT Director oversees all aspects of departmental computer operations.  This includes: investigating, purchasing, implementing, and maintaining computer applications which enhance the efficiency and productivity of the department; supervising department IT staff; and cooperating with, and extending Radiology services to other departments and institutional IT services.

Clinical Systems Programmer/Analyst for Radiology and Vascular Ultrasound Departments: Systems analysis and design, Workflow development, Systems Integration, Software Development. Image Enablement of In-House and Epic EHRs & analysis with HIE, with additional implementations for non-radiology departments. 

A Technical Lead for multiple systems upgrades and replacements, including very large clinical data migrations. Implement and Administer peerVue QICS, as well as bespoke QI and reporting systems. Design, Build, and Maintain systems with HL7, DICOM, networking, filesystem and database integrations. Lead teams to adopt tools and processes to improve testing, deployment and operational support of departmental systems.  Use breadth of understanding of IT, imaging workflows and operational considerations, and current practice, to work with technical specialist staff to identify and implement optimal solutions.

Applications Programmer/Analyst, Sr.

Analyzed, Implemented, and trained site administrators on  customized RIS - PACS interfaces and desktop integrations. Worked within larger implementation projects, and ran imaging-only implementation projects. Co-authored Integration Implementation SOP and documentation of the Development/QA/Implementation lifecycle for integration solutions. Substantial work with GE Healthcare engineering team on integration and QA of first rebranded release of Imagecast RIS following acquisition.

Integration Engineer, Sr.

IDX Systems

Integration of IDXRad and ImageCast RIS with various PACS and Report Creation Systems for many academic medical centers and IDNs.
Analyzed, Implemented, and trained site administrators on  customized RIS - PACS interfaces and desktop integrations. Worked within larger implementation projects, and ran imaging-only implementation projects. Co-authored Integration Implementation SOP and documentation of the Development/QA/Implementation lifecycle for integration solutions. VBScript, JavaScript, T-SQL and Unix shell programming. Implemented DICOM and HL7 integrations to a variety of PACS and modalities. Extensive work with ImageCast RIS (GE Centricity RIS-IC), PowerScribe, Philips iSite, and Siemens Magic, and also experience with Agfa, Kodak and Fuji PACS.

Senior Integration Engineer

Designed, Implemented and Managed datacenter, server, storage and network solutions. Managed Software QA and Technical Support, including managing in-house and remote employees. Supported internal networks and computer systems. Oversaw colocation facility, networking, and IT system purchasing and contracts. Participated in product design, providing input from QA, Operations (availability and scalability) and Support perspectives.

Project Manager for the development, QA, and production of regulated medical software, operating effectively in a matrix organization. Directly managed internal IT, technical support, and system manufacturing. Product Manager for DICOM Networking applications. Provided networking and DICOM support to customers. Performed Sales Engineering functions and presented solutions to high-impact clients.

Provided second-tier Windows client support: hardware, software and networking (including Novell, AS400, VMS, Unix and IBM mainframe services).  I also designed and directed the move and integration of the Novell Servers into the Data Center Operations Facility, working with vendor engineering on solution design and implementation. Supported the lead engineer on Novell to Microsoft migration project.
